of the Armed Forces of Malta

This book will record as accurately as possible, the history of the Unit from inception at Fassberg, Germany, to the current activities of the Air Wing at Luqa.  All of the Unit’s sections will be represented, as will be the Men and Women, machines, facilities, plus events and activities.  There will be mention for posterity of the German, Libyan and Italian connections.  This will be a limited edition publication, A4 in size and hard bound, with over 300 pages.  The book will be covered mainly in photographs (B&W and colour), some of which have never been seen before, and interspersed with newspaper cuttings, memorabilia, historical facts and anecdotes.  His Excellency The President of the Republic, Dr George Vella, was kind enough to foreword the book.  Commander Armed Forces of Malta wrote the introduction.  The book will be launched at the Museum on the 50^th Anniversary of the birth of the Helicopter Flight – 1^st July 2022.

All proceeds from the book will go towards the Malta Aviation Museum Foundation, with special emphasis being placed on sponsoring the historical archives, and a new set of information boards depicting photographs and historical facts covering Aviation in Malta throughout the years.
